Mukhtar
Ramalan Yero, the Governor of Kaduna State has announced the
dissolution of the state Executive Council with immediate effect.
Mr.
Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki, the Director General, Media and Publicity to the
Governor, has read the statement which directed all the commissioners in
the state to hand over to their permanent secretaries by Friday.
“Gov.
Yero thanked the outgoing members of the council for their valuable
contributions to the state and wished them success in their future
endeavours”, the statement added.
No reason was given for the dissolution.
Governor Yero’s decision on changes in personnel added to President Goodluck Jonathan’s dismissal of nine serving ministers, and Gov. Jonah Jang’s dissolving the caretaker committees of the 17 Local
Governments Areas.
So
many changes in one day look like a true ‘9/11’for Nigerian politicians
of various levels: from Federal Ministers to Local Administrators…
