OSUN SCHOOL CRISIS: Demolition of Fakunle High School, Oshogbo, Starts as per Governor Aregbesola's Order

Fakunle Comprehensive High School in Oshogbo is now being demolished. The building is scheduled for termination as a part of the education reform policy of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
According to the residents of the area close to the school, the demolition began in the evening of February 15, 2014, Saturday. The property was being heavily guarded by policemen who have formed a secondary wall around it.
Speculations abound that Governor Aregbesola plans to convert the land into a Shoprite mall to accommodate the business interests of his political godfather, the Chiefrain of the All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, or to create a parking station.
Students and teachers of the school were distributed to other schools within the State last year.
A member of the family of late founder of the school, who spoke to SaharaReporters, said they were
working on their options, as the entire family was saddened to learn that their patriarch’s legacy was being so casually destroyed.
