Baby kidnappers have stormed Benue State as no fewer than seven babies,
including a one-year-old have been abducted by suspected kidnappers in
Benue State, within a week.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the abductors had invaded several parts of the capital city of Makurdi and carries out their nefarious activities, even during day time.
It was gathered that a two-year-old baby strapped on the back of her mother, Ifeoma, was lost to unknown kidnappers, who snatched the baby from her back into a waiting moving vehicle.

It was further gathered that the incident which happened in the full glare of passers by and residents of Wadata sharp bend in Makurdi, could not be saved, as the vehicle sped off.
Another incidence was the sad story for one Emmanuel Ojo, a year old baby, who was said to have been abducted from his mother near Hope Clinic, around Benue Crescent in Makurdi .
The mother, Mary Ojo said, up to the time of reporting the matter to the police, Emmanuel was yet to be found. She appealed to those who might have her baby in her custody to release him.
Within the same period, three school children of one Alhaji, near Wadata Rice Mill also in Makurdi were said to have been abducted.
Another source also disclosed that a kidnapper eloped with a baby in Wanune, headquarters of Tarka Local Government area. The kidnapper, a woman who pretended to be a friend to the nursing mother, approached her with the pretense to assist her and took the baby away. The kidnapper was reported to have given the mother an amount of money to buy food items while she babysits the child.
Before the mother’s arrival, the kidnapper had gone with the child to an unknown destination.
