The Secretary of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Jerry Asemota,
announced on Saturday morning through satellite broadcast that the
leadership of the church had to “plead” with their General
Superintendent, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi to rest after it became very clear
the work was taking its toll on him.
The effect began to show on Friday evening while taking a third message at the Kilometre 42, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway camp ground titled, “In the steps of the saviour,” when his voice cracked.
In his final message titled “Reigning through the victory of Jesus”, the reinvigorated Pastor said Easter is a day to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and urged all Christians to live like our Lord and Saviour.
“This day commemorates the day Christ resurrected. He overcame sin, Satan and all the enemies that could come against your life. Because he overcame, you have overcome already. As you have received Christ, and the abundant grace of God, you will reign in life,” he said.

Assuring the church members and the general public that all is well now, Pastor Asemota said: “We had to plead with him to rest because he had been moving from one state to the other and travelling to different countries, preaching.”On Sunday morning Pastor Kumuyi returned to the camp, he confirmed Asemota’s statement while speaking to the church, adding that he would be going for another round of ministration in Delta State from April 25 to 27, 2014. The work must still go on..
